The DC Health Systems Board, a shared learning platform supported by Future Health Systems that provides a forum in the Greater Capital Area for discussion and debate about current issues in health systems research and policies relevant to low- and middle-income countries, has just announced its events line up for the fall semester 2012. So far, two events have been confirmed and are approaching fast:
  1. How the world's largest NGO is innovating to provide health coverage to millions in Bangladesh, on 3 October 2012 from 9:30am - 11:30am at the Results for Development Institute
  2. Transforming Health Markets in Asia and Africa, on 17 October 2012 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at the Results for Development Institute (also streamed live online)
In November, we're looking forward to an event coordinated by the Center for Global Development on measuring value for money in health interventions. And in December Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is organising a networking event targeted at young global public health professionals. Dates and times for these events remain to be confirmed.

If you're interested in attending any of these events, please register on their individual event pages. If you want to stay up-to-date as new events are announced, you can sign up for their mailing list. And finally, if you'd be interested in helping to plan or coordinate any of these events, get in touch with the DC HSB coordinator, Daniela Lewy at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
